Department Of Pediatric Medicine, SSPH&PGTI, Noida

 

The Department of Pediatrics at SSPH & PGI was started in December 2015 with a Professor, Associate professor and an Assistant Professor, each. Expansion of the Department with additional faculty members and technical Staff will be done in near future. The scope of Pediatric Medicine services extend from specialized clinical services to overall wellbeing of children and adolescents up to 19 years of age. At present, the department provides consultation services for common childhood disorders. Other services include immunization and stabilization of children on outpatient basis.

Vision:

  • To provide each child with an opportunity to grow, develop and enjoy the essence of childhood at fullest for his/her potential and not only the freedom from diseases.
  • To strengthen the basic pillars of child health like growth, development and immunization and do constant monitoring for detection of deviations at earliest stage when corrective measures can be instituted to ensure optimal outcomes.

Future Plans:

  • The department is soon planning to extend OPD services in form of special clinics for evaluation and management of children and adolescents with endocrine, respiratory and suspected genetic problems.
  • Along with other pediatric super specialty departments, the in-patient services with provision of intensive care are also likely to be introduced soon with aim of providing world class care to the children of the region and adjoining areas.
  • The department is planning to introduce various teaching courses at the level of post-graduation and beyond in various disciplines of Pediatric Medicine.
  • We also look forward to promote high quality research in order to improve the quality of care for the children around the globe.
